Our non-alloy
duplex bag filter housings are for applications where the process
flow cannot be interrupted for filter bag changing. The
decision to use PVC, CPVC and
GFPP (polypropylene) materials of construction is typically driven
by the aggressiveness of the fluid to alloy materials. While
our non-alloy duplexed bag filter housings are the same cost or even
slightly higher than equivalent 316 stainless steel versions, they
are certainly less expensive than exotic alloy's such as Inconel and
Hastelloy C.
Our non-alloy duplexed bag filter housings have no metal components. The flow is diverted from the dirty housing to the clean housing by a pair of linked ball valves. The linkage simplifies the diversion process and ensure uninterrupted flow; without linkage you would require four valves and they would need to be operated in a certain order. It is possible to semi-automate diversion using pneumatic or electric valve actuators.
Unique design advantages
Each bag filter consists of a one-piece molded body and therefore has a smooth interior finish without seams characteristic of alloy bag filter housings. The smoother finish with internal taper leading to the outlet supports full drainage of the bag filter housing chamber. The true-union connections simplify connection to your piping and can have socket glued, threaded or flanged connections. Access to the bag filter chamber does not require tools, the oversized chamber cover handles enable removal and reinstallation by hand with little effort.
