The FLOWLINEII model bag filter housing is an "economy" version of the FLOWLINE bag filter housing, costing about 30% less. You can use the FLOWLINEII instead of the FLOWLINE bag filter if you do not require differential pressure taps, mechanical/electro-polishing, tri-clover connections and do not want to upgrade to the HAYFLOW design. FLOWLINEII bag filter housings cost less due to advanced manufacturing techniques.
The body of the FLOWLINEII bag filter is hydro formed from a single piece of material (316SS, 304SS or carbon steel). Hydro forming is used commonly by the automotive industry to form rigid, complex shapes using high pressure to "mold" malleable metals. The result is a lightweight, "one piece" filter vessel - eliminating the circumference welds, reducing manufacturing costs associated with materials and labor while increasing quality. Since this manufacturing process is not applicable to ASME code, FLOWLINEII bag filter housings cannot be ASME code stamped. If you require an ASME code stamp refer to the SIDELINE bag filter housing.
FLOWLINEII bag filter housings area available with 2" threaded or either 2" or 3" 150# flanged connections, rated for pressures as high as 150 PSI at a maximum temperature of 250F.
FLOWLINEII bag filter housings have a swing bolt cover which can be hinged in any one of four positions. The investment cast evacuation cover increases the ullage (empty space) within the filter housing, reducing both product loss and exposure of the liquid to personnel. As an investment cast component the cover ensures reliable sealing with concentric downwards pressure onto the bag hold-down ring. Other standard features of the FLOWLINEII bag filter housing are a 316SS perforated restrainer (support) basket and powder epoxy coated adjustable carbon steel mounting legs.
The FLOWLINEII filter housing is applicable for all nominally rated #1 and #2 size filter bags, if you require an absolute rated filter bag or are targeting particles smaller then 50 microns, the TOPLINE bag filter housing would be a better choice due to its enhanced seal design.
Unique to FLOWLINEII bag filter housings, the optional accessory SPLASH GUARD is available. SPLASH GUARD is a safety cover easily attached to FLOWLINEII bag filter housing cover to help protect personnel from unexpected pressurized leakage, diverting flow downwards and away from the face of personnel.
Flexibility in flow configuration
The FLOWLINEII bag filter outlet can be placed at the bottom, at the opposite side or even the same size ("loop") positions depending upon which orientation fits your application best.
Optional features of FLOWLINEII bag filters include:
(2) ¼" FNPT differential pressure taps
Mechanical/Electro-polish internal/external
Tri-Clover connections
