Part Numbers vs. Description Codes

Eaton utilizes two distinct systems to identify their products: a 9-character part number and a detailed description code. The part number is primarily used for inventory management because it is optimized for rapid typing, sorting, and data analysis.

In contrast, the Description Code provides the actual technical specifications of the filter bag, including the quantity per carton and the carton size. Our official proposals and order acknowledgements include both identifiers to ensure absolute accuracy in your order.

Code Example: PO-10-P04S-H-50

This specific code represents a polypropylene needle felt filter bag with 10-micron retention and a "plain no cover" design. It specifies a 4"x15" bag size equipped with a carbon steel ring and a twill handle, packaged 50 bags per carton.
