CLEARGAF filter Bags are specifically designed for pharmaceutical, food and beverage applications.  They are subject to independent laboratory evaluation, testing and certification to ensure applicable FDA requirements are met.  Specifically, CLEARGAF filter bags comply with EC Regulation 1935/2004 and EC Directive 2002/72/EC as well as FDA requirements according to Title 21, Section 177, as applicable for food and beverage contact.  They are manufactured under special conditions to ensure that they contain no contamination. To keep the filter bags contamination-free, they are individually sealed in protective plastic packaging.

 

CLEARGAF filter bags are made from polypropylene and polyester needle felt materials in both standard and increased depth filtration versions for holding larger amounts of particulate.  They have a crush style seal to prevent particle bypass and fully welded construction for maximum durability. CLEARGAF filter bags provide nominal efficiency retentions of 1, 5, 10 and 25 microns in both #1 and #2 filter bag sizes.

 

The extended life needle felt material (same material used for DURAGAF filter bags) allows for increased depth filtration and thus retention of more solids to minimize the frequency of filter bag change-outs.

  • #1 size CLEARGAF bags have 2.6ft² of filter area

  • #2 size CLEARGAF bags have 5.2ft² of filter area

• Maximum temperature ratings

  • 194ºF for polypropylene material

  • 302ºF for polyester material

• Maximum differential pressure of 36.2 PSI

  • Recommended replacement differential pressure between 11.6 - 21.7 PSI

• Maximum flow rates: (depending upon material)

  • #1 size CLEARGAF bags, 88 GPM

  • #2 size CLEARGAF bags, 176 GPM

• Nominal retentions: 1, 5, 10, 25 μm
