LOFMEM™ filter cartridges provide absolute rated retention with membranes made of Polyethersulfone (PES), Nylon 66 or Teflon (PTFE). Manufacturing is performed under ISO 9001 quality control standards without the use of adhesives or wetting agents to ensure purity. LOFMEM™ filter cartridges are used for final filtration of wine and beverages, ultrapure water filtration, DI water, photo resists, pharmaceutical intermediates, strong acids/bases, compressed gases and fermentation air.
Four LOFMEM Membrane Filter Cartridge Designs:
Eaton LOFMEM-W filter cartridges have membranes made from Asymmetric Polyethersulfone (PES) and available the finest retentions we offer 0.05, 0.10, 0.20, 0.45 and 1μm. The inner support core is made from polypropylene. LOFMEM-W filter cartridges are used for deionized water pre-filter and post filter applications and aqueous-based chemical processing.
Eaton LOFMEM-T filter cartridges have the same retentions as the LOFMEM-W filter cartridges except they have a PTFE membrane which enables it to operate at higher temperatures and differential pressures than the PES filter cartridge.
Eaton LOFMEM-N filter cartridges have a hydrophilic nylon 66 membrane with a polypropylene core for retentions of 0.20, 0.45 and 1.0 μm. Its 7 ft2 surface area is the largest of the LOFMEM series filter cartridges. Typical applications include filtration of high purity water, organic solvents and aquesous co-solvent systems.
Eaton LOFMEM-TFA filter cartridges have PTFE membranes and are typically used for high temperature applications or processes which utilize steam/autoclaves for filter cartridge sterization. The inner core and end connections are made from PFA which maximizes chemical resistance at temperatures up to 338ºF. LOFMEM-TFA filter cartridges have retentions of 0.1, 0.2, 0.45 and 1.0 μm.
