LOFCLEAR 100 Automotive Series filter bags are modified versions of the LOFCLEAR industrial filter bags for specific applications within the automotive coating and finishing industry.  These LOFCLEAR filter bags will remove trace silicone oil and other crate causing substances from coatings without removing the pigments themselves.  LOFCLEAR filter bags are made of polypropylene melt-blown fibers and incorporate a crush style sealing ring to ensure particles do not bypass the filter bag.  The sealing ring seal actually improves with differential pressure, enabling BETA 100 absolute particle retention of 10, 20, 30 or 40 microns.

 

The LOFCLEAR series 100 filter bags are available for both #1 and #2 size bag filter vessels; there are four specific designs:

 

1. Model LCR-1x8: Electrostatically charged polypropylene media to assist with the adsorption of particles and oils in e-coating or other paint systems for retaining particles as small as 40 microns at 99% efficiency.

2. Model LCR-1x9 Employs a dual layer design to increase holding capacity, having the same oil adsorption performance as the other LOFCLEAR filter bags for retaining particles as fine as 30 microns with 99% efficiency.

3. Model LCR-1x0 Using a multi-layer design, efficiencies are improved to retain particles as fine as 20 microns.

4. Model LCR-1x5 The finest retention offered, 10 microns, is achieved using extra thick melt-blown polypropylene to maximize particle load holding capaicty and adsorption of trace oils for clear coat coat applications when pigment removal is not a concern.

• #1 size LOFCLEAR 100 Automotive Series bags have 2.6ft² of filter area and are 7" diameter x 17" long

• #2 size LOFCLEAR 100 Automotive Series bags have 5.2ft² of filter area and are 7" diameter x 32" long

• Maximum temperature rating is 194ºF

• Maximum differential pressure of 36.2 PSI

  • Recommended replacement differential pressure between 11.6 - 21.7 PSI

  • #2 size LOFCLEAR 100 Automotive Series bags, 66 GPM
